The Golden Child Heritage Foundation is aimed at furthering the in-school education and advanced training of children and youth in Nigeria in order to offer them a secure future – free from illegality, corruption and child labour. In addition, the Foundation provides support for the relatives of the children and youth through regular financial contributions toward the latter's maintenance.
At the moment, the Foundation supports 20 children from Anambra State. They all come from poor families. Their parents / guardians could not afford to send them to school. So instead of receiving an education, these children had to sell nuts, drinking water or other things, to support their families and to be able to survive.
But since September 2009, these children go to school. The foundation has provided them not only with scholarships to pay their school fees, but also provided them with the needed books and school uniforms. Further donations will help them to look towards a brighter future.
